Chinese verb tenses

Present:

我正在喝茶. Wǒ zhèngzài hēchá.

I'm drinking tea (now).

Past tense:

我昨天喝了茶. Wǒ zuótiān hē le chá.

Yesterday I drank tea.

Present perfect:

我已经喝了很多茶. Wǒ yǐjing hē le hěn duō chá.

I have already been drinking tea.

Future tense:

明天我要喝茶. Míngtiān wǒ yào hē chá.

Tomorrow I will drink tea.

明天我去喝茶. Míngtiān wǒ qù hē chá.

Tomorrow I'm going to drink tea.

明天我打算喝茶. Míngtiān wǒ dǎsuan hē chá.

Tomorrow I plan to drink tea.

Subjunctive

如果我有时间, 我喝了茶. Rúguǒ wǒ yǒu shíjiān, wǒ hēle chá.

If I had time, I would drink tea.

如果我是你, 我学中文. Rúguǒ wǒ shì nǐ, wǒ xué Zōngwén.

If I were you, I would study Chinese.
